20 years in the future...

20 years in the future: I want to tell people that Bellingham recognizes the importance of forest protection and protects trees in and around town. Positive change: Bellingham standing up to DNR to protect legacy forests like “Bessie,” “Upper Rutsatz,” and “Brokedown Palace.”

I agree with Michael573. Overseeding and newly seeded lawns need to be specifically listed as exceptions. Failure to accommodate these situations will be costly for homeowners who pay for seeding only to lose the investment due to lack of sufficient daily watering for germination. The timing could be less than 30 minutes per zone, perhaps 15 minutes per zone, but should allow for at least 2 times per day. The exception should last a reasonable time for germination, at least 2 weeks. Consulting with landscaping experts before determining exact specifications would be a good idea.
