Consultation has concluded

The name ideas and playground options survey have concluded. The results of the surveys can be found under the helpful resources tab to the right. Thank you for your interest in this project!

We are working with developers on a new public neighborhood park, just north of Mahogany Avenue and west of Northwest Drive in the Cordata Neighborhood. Currently the new park is referred to as the “Northwest Neighborhood Park."

Most parks start off with a simple, geographic name until a final name is selected, and we want to hear your ideas! The Bellingham Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the City Council will see ideas submitted here and make the final decision on the park's name. You are also invited to review and comment on the proposed park design and vote on playground programming options in the survey below. We look forward to hearing from you!

Project Background

The first phase of the park is being constructed with Phase 3 of the Aurora Court development. A second park will be built with future phases, and community members will have another opportunity to provide input when the second park is developed. To review the preliminary site plan and pedestrian connectivity plan, please see the "helpful resources" tab on the right.
